What is the deadline for free delivery to school?

Overview

The free postage date (or free delivery deadline) printed on your proofcard is the last day you can place an order and still qualify for free delivery to school. After this date, you can still order, but home delivery charges apply.

How it works

  • The deadline is clearly printed on your proofcard — often labelled "Free postage until", "Order by", or similar.
  • Orders placed on or before that date qualify for free batch delivery to the school.
  • Orders placed after that date still accepted (while the shop remains open) but incur a home delivery charge and are posted to your home address.
  • Deadlines are usually set to allow the photographer to batch-print and deliver one shipment to the school.
  • Time zones and cut-off times follow the date shown on your proofcard — order earlier in the day on the deadline date to be safe.

Common issues / Troubleshooting

  • Missed the deadline by one day — free school delivery will no longer be available; home delivery is the remaining option.
  • Deadline not on proofcard — contact the school or photographer; the online shop may also display the date when you log in.
  • Ordered before deadline but charged postage — check your confirmation email; contact the photographer with your order number if the wrong delivery method was applied.

Tips

  • Mark the free postage date in your calendar when your child brings the proofcard home.
  • Do not wait until the evening of the deadline — technical issues are harder to fix at the last minute.
  • If you need home delivery anyway, the deadline matters less — but you will pay the courier charge.

Tip: Free school delivery saves money but requires planning — treat the proofcard deadline like any other school permission slip date.
