Overview
Limited cropping may be available for certain products when your photographer has enabled it for the event. Full photo editing (filters, retouching, background changes) is not available online — prints are produced from the original photograph as cropped in the preview.
How it works
- If cropping is enabled, a crop tool appears when you configure eligible products (often prints and canvases).
- Drag the crop area to frame your child's face or adjust composition within the product's aspect ratio.
- The checkout preview shows exactly how the image will be printed — including your crop.
- Filters, beauty retouching, text overlays, and colour adjustments are not offered in the parent shop.
- Watermarks visible on screen are for preview only and are not printed on your order.
Common issues / Troubleshooting
- No crop tool visible — cropping may be disabled for this event or product type; the image will print as framed by the photographer.
- Head cut off in preview — adjust the crop box before adding to basket; the printed result matches the preview.
- Image looks different from proofcard — online previews are higher quality than the small proofcard thumbnail; trust the on-screen preview at checkout.
Tips
- Centre faces for portrait prints; leave a little space above the head for framing.
- For canvases, avoid cropping too tightly — wrap-around edges may trim the sides.
- Zoom the preview to full size before paying.
Tip: What you see in the checkout preview is what you get — spend a moment checking the crop on every print before completing payment.
