Is it safe to enter my payment details on the site?

Overview

Yes — payments are handled by established, PCI-compliant payment providers. Your card details are encrypted and processed directly by Stripe, Opayo, or PayPal; they are not stored on the school photos website.

How it works

  • When you pay, you are redirected to or shown a secure payment form operated by the payment gateway.
  • Card numbers, expiry dates, and security codes are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
  • The school photos platform receives only a payment confirmation — not your full card number.
  • Look for the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar before entering payment information.
  • PayPal payments are authorised through PayPal's own secure login — the shop never sees your PayPal password.

Common issues / Troubleshooting

  • Warning about an insecure connection — do not enter payment details; contact the photographer to report the issue.
  • Unfamiliar name on bank statement — charges may appear under the payment provider or photographer's trading name; match the amount to your order confirmation.
  • Suspicious email after ordering — genuine confirmations come from the photographer or platform; do not click links in unexpected emails asking for card details again.

Tips

  • Only order through the official website address on your proofcard.
  • Never share card details by email or phone to "confirm" an order — legitimate orders are paid only through the checkout page.
  • Use a credit or debit card with fraud protection for online purchases.

Tip: If anything about the payment page looks unusual, stop and contact the photographer using details from your proofcard — not from an unsolicited message.
