What payment methods are accepted?

Overview

School photo orders are paid online at checkout. The payment methods shown on the checkout page depend on your photographer's configuration, but most sites support secure card payments and PayPal where enabled.

How it works

  • Debit and credit cards — processed securely via Stripe or Opayo (formerly Sage Pay), depending on the photographer's setup.
  • PayPal — available where the photographer has enabled it; you will be redirected to PayPal to authorise payment.
  • Only the methods configured for your photographer appear at checkout — you cannot pay by cash, cheque, or bank transfer through the online shop.
  • Payment is taken in full when you place your order; school photos are made to order after payment.
  • Your card or PayPal account is charged in the currency shown at checkout (typically GBP, EUR, or USD).

Common issues / Troubleshooting

  • Card declined — check the card number, expiry date, and security code; contact your bank if the card works elsewhere.
  • PayPal option not shown — the photographer has not enabled PayPal for this event; use card payment instead.
  • Payment page will not load — disable ad blockers, try another browser, or switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi.
  • Charged but no confirmation — wait a few minutes and check email; if nothing arrives, contact the photographer with the payment reference from your bank.

Tips

  • Have your card or PayPal login ready before starting checkout.
  • The payment screen is hosted by the payment provider — your card details are not stored on the school photos website.
  • Keep your order confirmation email as proof of purchase.

Tip: If you are unsure which cards are accepted, proceed to checkout — all available payment options are listed before you commit to pay.
